Hari Kumar : 10 ans, 75 % indien, 25 % français, et promis à un brillant avenir. Il ne lui manque qu'un coup de chance pour percer, une occasion de se faire connaître. Et quand cette chance se présente sous la forme d'un concours de courts métrages à l'école, c'est l'occasion rêvée pour Hari de briller. Mais la vie n'est pas toujours un film. Le nouvel élève qu'il pensait être son acolyte se révèle être un véritable méchant, son équipe de choc a ses propres volontés, et la censure (incarnée par le proviseur adjoint) plane au-dessus de lui. Hari parviendra-t-il à garder le cap et à réaliser un retour triomphal, ou son premier film sera-t-il annulé avant même sa sortie ?
